BRIDEZILLA

Hey y'all!

I am a very laid back bride-to-be.

I have been very nonchalant and actually wanting to hear ideas from family, friends, and even vendors!

Gasp.

It is not "MY DAY".

It is "OUR DAY".

It is my fiances, myself, our families, our friends, and even our puppies day.

On August 1st, 2015 we will be joining two people, two families, two groups of friends, and even two puppies.

(Hopefully, I am not foreshadowing  Noah's Ark 2.0)

Alright, so now you know how I view my wedding day.

Well, sisterfran had her very first (and only) BRIDEZILLA moment.

It was not pretty folks.

Not at all.

Andrew and I live in Georgia.

We are getting married in Michigan.

We are from Michigan and the majority of our family and friends live there.

We did not want to ask everyone to travel down to Georgia and we both wanted to get married back "HOME".

So, in January we locked down a venue.

A little over three weeks ago, we were contacted by the venue and they informed us that they were having a licencing issue.

No biggie right?

I mean we are not getting married until August of next year...

Well, my amazing future-in-laws went to investigate the situation and lets just say they did not report good news...

The location looked like a hot mess and that is putting it very, very nicely.

So, we needed to break up with them a.s.a.p.

We put down our deposit for the venue.

Also, we put down several other vendor deposits.

I immediately went into panic mode.

What are we going to do?

Are we going to get that money back?

Can our other vendors travel to our new venue?

Are we going to get the money back from the other vendors if they cannot come to our new venue?

ETC...

Thankfully, my incredible future husband took care of the venue and vendor deposits and we were fully refunded.

Basically, we had to start over.

Again, my amazing future-in-laws saved the day!

We will getting married at their house.

The Red House has a ton of family history and memories and it is the perfect place to get married!

Now, we just have to figure out the details.

Who knew planning a wedding would be so stressful? ;)

Hurry Up August 1st, 2015!

Thanks for reading!

Brittney

You did what!?

Hey y'all!

Alright, I have been the absolute WORST blogger.

Life has been INSANE!

So, wanna know what I have been up to?

Well...

1. I started my internship with the Atlanta Silverbacks! I am so thankful and I absolutely love, love, love it! I have been extremely blessed to work with such a fun and positive group of people! The first home game is April 19th and I am so excited to cheer our guys on! If y'all are interested in coming out to a game please let me know! I kinda have the hook up!;)

2. Planning a WEDDING! I will be back to the Wedding Wednesday next week! I cannot wait to share all of the things that I have checked off the to-do list! Seriously, I have no idea how people plan a wedding without a long engagement! I am honestly envious of those who can pull it off! This sister needs TIME, y'all!

Haha!

3.  SCHOOL. I will not bore you, but lots and lots of homework/projects/test...blah.blah.blah.

I am that person who gets annoyed with a 97...
Sorry, I'm not sorry...
4. Getting ready for our vacation! We are leaving bright and early tomorrow for Dallas, TX to go to the SMART CONFERENCE 2014! Then, we are leaving Dallas to go to Las Vegas for a very important work event for Andrews' company! Y'all, I get to help! Eek! We are so excited to spend this time together and plan for our future!

Well, we might have already made a BIG DECISION regarding our future...

5. Andrew and I are officially under contract for our FIRST HOUSE TOGETHER!

Yep, that will be our house in less than 30 days! (fingers crossed)

So, can anyone give me any suggestions on places to go in Dallas or Vegas?

OR
Any advice on anything dealing with houses? LOL

Thank you for reading and supporting this blog! I am so thankful for each and every one of you that take the time to read it!

Prayer > Worry

Easy, right?

WRONG!

I am a chronic worrier.

I worry about the silliest things y'all...

Examples:

1) Am I using the right shampoo?

2) Do those girls like me?

3) Is THIS blog boring?

4) Do I need to lose ten pounds?

Yes, I do worry about BIG things too!

Examples:

1) Am I good enough Christian?

2) What is MY purpose?

3) Will I be a good wife?

4) Will I be a good mom (one day in the FAR future!)?

I could go on and on, but I will spare y'all from the mundane list of worries that I carry throughout my daily life.

The reason that I worry is because I do NOT put all of my trust in HIM.

Why do I NOT put all of my trust in HIM?

The answer...

I am human and I am not perfect.

I make a million, zillion, trillion, etc mistakes.

I do fail GOD daily, but the really cool thing is...

HE STILL LOVES ME!

AND

HE STILL LOVES YOU!

This song is a great reminder that GOD is in control.

We do not need to worry at all because GOD is in control.

If GOD brings you to it, GOD will bring you THROUGH it!

Yes, we might be confused at the plan that GOD is placing in our lives and doubt that we could go down the path, but we NEED to put our TRUST into HIM

So, do you think you can PRAY MORE & WORRY LESS?

What are you worried or stressed about?

How can I pray for you?

Brittney

Atlanta Silverbacks

Hey AMAZING readers!

Yes, I AM alive and I have exciting news to share with you all!!!

The above photo represents one of the craziest and most inspirational stories, ever! The courage, focus, and hard work of that Women's soccer team encouraged me to never give up and continue to actively pursue my dreams.

I have played soccer since I was five years old and I am absolutely IN LOVE with the game! I have played for rec leagues, travel leagues, indoor leagues, intramural leagues and High School!

I played left defense and mid-field.

(Sidenote: This is the only picture I could find. I think my mom has held them hostage...)

Okay, so you are probably like...um cool story, Brittney...
(Insert eye roll...)

Well, I am currently in school working towards my Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

I have known that I have needed to apply for internships and get hands on experience, but the whole process is a little overwhelming.

I received an email from a professor at my school regarding an internship with the ATLANTA SILVERBACKS!

The Atlanta Silverbacks are a professional Men's and Women's soccer team based here in Atlanta!

I immediately sent my resume and quickly received an email asking for an interview later that week!

GASP!

Drum Roll PLEASE....

I GOT THE INTERNSHIP!

Y'all, I am the *NEW* Marketing Intern for the Atlanta Silverbacks!

I am so excited for this incredible opportunity and I cannot wait to embark on this journey! I honestly cannot believe that I will be able to combine two of my favorite things into one experience!

Do y'all have any exciting news? I would LOVE to hear all about it! :)

Thank you for reading!

xoxo,

Brittney

Five on Friday!

Happy Friday y'all!

Who is READY for the weekend?

I know that I am!

Anyways...

One.

My love for Jesus is growing and growing and I am loving the things that he is putting on my heart. I will be getting baptized again! I filmed my baptism video with my Worship Pastor this week and it was so great to share my testimony. Also, I am joining a Growth Group on Monday nights and I working on a Daily Devotional. It has helped me really set a side time for Jesus,  but I do need to work on doing it every day.

Two.

My fiance is seriously a-m-a-z-i-n-g!
He will be on business all of next week, but he is taking the Red Eye to be able to spend Valentines Day together. My love language is time and he wanted to make sure that we spent the entire day together. How sweet!? No, I will not be getting flowers, chocolate, or a teddy bear, but I will be getting the best gift ever...time with my handsome man!

This was our first Valentines Day!

Three.

I am in deep love with some Hobby Lobby! I got wedding necessities for 80% off! Yes, I said 80% off!

Ring Bear Pillow

Two Flower Girl Baskets

Two Guest Books

Plus, they are cute right!?

Four.

Dave Matthews Band is having a concert in Atlanta this summer!I have wanted to go to DMB for YEARS, but something always comes up and I cannot go! I am GOING to this concert, yall!

Favorite DMB Song, ever!

Five.

We are so excited to have Fordham Footage do our videography for our wedding! We both absolutely love his work and we cannot wait see the final product!

I hope y'all have a great weekend!

xoxo,

Brittney

We NEED to Catch Up!

Hey MARVELOUS readers!

I hope you all are recovering well from the Super Bowl shenanigans!

Side note: craziest Super Bowl ever, right!?

But, SERIOUSLY!? Poor Peyton!

I am a marketing major and I cannot get enough of the commercials, but I was a little disappointed in them this year. (just sayin'...)

Here are a few of my favorites:

Anyways, let's talk about Atlanta and our issues with SNOW!
My heart ached for all of the individuals that were affected by the storm!
The problem was that everyone tried to leave the city at once and it created a huge gridlock!

Andrew could not go to his office because of the storm and he worked from home, but we also worked on WEDDING PLANS!

Let the drum roll begin...

We found a VENUE that we both LOVE!

I am so excited! We looked and looked, but we could not find the *RIGHT* one.
Then, my dad told us about this place and we called the venue the next day.
It is in my HOMETOWN! Yes, how PERFECT!?

Now, let the real planning begin!

Thank you so much for reading!

Until next time...

xoxo,
Brittney

Manic Monday: Random Facts

So, it is Monday...

Gross.

This post is all about random facts.

#1
I spent my 21st birthday with my best friend and my family. I did not go out and rage. At all. I went to the Cheesecake Factory and came home. I may or may not have drank a half a bottle of wine.

(Yes, my sweet poppa has his eyes closed...lol)

#2
I have one tattoo. I got it the day after my 18th birthday. It is three shamrocks that are intertwined which represents the bond between my grandma, mom and I. My grandma passed away when I was 10 and I was extremely close and absolutely adored her!

#3
Andrew is 7 years older than me and he always like to joke about it. He seriously prides himself on the fact like he will be thirty this year and I will only be 22. Sweet baby Jesus.

#4
I got Roscoe when I was away at The University of West Georgia. My parents did not talk to me for two weeks and were so incredibly angry that I got him. I went home to visit them and try and smooth things over and my parents instantly fell in love with him. (sidenote: I have transferred)

Seriously, he is the cutest little baby.

#5
I get that I look like Reese Witherspoon ALL the time! What a complement right!? Yes, she is my favorite actress ever and I love when people say that I look like her! I honestly think it is just the chin. LOL
I have zero make up on in this picture. Please do not judge!

Alright,

I hope you ALL have a MARVELOUS MONDAY!

xoxo,
Brittney
